How do I delete my account?

You can permanently delete your MyNexstar account, including your access to TheHill.com, once your Insider subscription is fully closed. If you have an active Insider subscription — including one you have already canceled but that is still within its paid term — you will need to wait until your Insider access ends before you can delete your account. 

Once your subscription is fully closed, you can delete your account in either of two ways: 

  • From your account settings. Sign in, open Account Settings, and select Delete Account. 
  • From Your Privacy Choices. Open the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer of any page on TheHill.com and submit a deletion request from there. 

Deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, your saved preferences, and your access ends immediately. Your visible billing history in your account is also removed; however, The Hill retains underlying billing and transaction records as required by law. 

We process deletion requests in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). 

If you only want to stop your subscription but keep your free MyNexstar account so you can resubscribe later, cancel instead (see How do I cancel my subscription).
